Jeffrey Horsfield works hard to help you arrange a funeral that echoes the life of your loved one. To this end he can provide many extra options that make the funeral service a more personal one.
White doves are an elegant touch to a funeral, symbolising peace and rest. They can be released after a funeral service, either at church, or at the crematorium/cemetery.
Balloons are a poignant compliment, particularly for children to release after a funeral.
Single roses or a basket of rose petals are sometimes requested to be strewn into the grave after a burial has taken place.
Donations
Some people like to have donations made in memory of their loved one in lieu of flowers. Jeffrey will collect these on your behalf and, after a four week period, forward them onto the chosen charity, listing all those people who kindly contributed. Jeffrey will then write to you, advising you of the total amount collected in memory of your loved one and again enclose a full list of those who kindly made donations.
Memorials
A full monumental memorial service is available through our experienced and long established associates, Cookson's of Blackpool. Jeffrey can assist you if necessary, and estimates are freely given without any obligation.
Books of Remembrance, Wall Plaques and Wall Niches
These are dealt with at the crematorium by the crematorium authorities who will send you full details, listing the available options, a few days after the funeral has taken place. Alternatively, Jeffrey Horsfield can provide the information prior to the funeral for you to consider.
International Repatriation
These days it is not unusual for Jeffrey Horsfield to be asked to look after a client who has passed away abroad. He will liaise with the relevant authorities and deal with all aspects of repatriating the client back to this or their home country. At all times, Jeffrey will seek to minimise the practical and emotional burden you face.
